Bio
Ayana Hall
Ayana Hall is an undergraduate student at Drexel University, majoring in Animation & VFX and minoring in Film & Television Production. Ayana is a primarily digital artist from Baltimore, Maryland. What she loves to do the most is create character-based work.
Ayana is a generalist who enjoys working across many mediums of art. One skill that she is interested in developing is video editing, after having created videos for a YouTube channel in a previous job. Through Drexel’s animation program, Ayana has learned various skills in the 3D animation industry. As she goes through her career, she aspires to specialize in 3D character modeling and animation. Additionally, she has a strong background in illustration and is pursuing freelance opportunities in drawing and character design.
Back in 2022, Ayana was a featured artist in an exhibition where she presented a series of illustrations about prison reformation, inspired by her boss from her first job. More recently, in 2023-24, Ayana took an online course to learn how to animate in After Effects. Using these skills, she was able to complete 3 motion graphics product animations for a previous job.
Ayana is passionate about creating and telling stories through animated films. Through her work, she wants to bring characters to life in ways that inspire others. Although she is more than capable of working on individual projects, she would love opportunities to collaborate with other artists on larger works.
Art is a huge part of Ayana’s life and has worked both as a hobby and a career goal for many years. When she’s not making art, Ayana can be found either reading a good book, playing her favorite game, Minecraft, or out riding her Honda Rebel. Of course, she also enjoys watching films and animated movies and shows. Currently, in her free time, Ayana is developing a new illustrated project featuring a vulture character.
